THE second October league of the Vryheid Luremasters was fished at Bivane Dam on October 22.
The event was well supported by members and we thank you all. We would also like to thank the management of Bivane Dam for hosting us at this wonderful venue.
For once, the weather did not turn against the anglers and the old excuse of, “the weather” could not be used by the anglers in their struggle to get their bag limits.
Just to remind those anglers with the bag of excuses, this is why it is called fishing and not catching.
The winner of the league was Clinton Compton with a bass of 1.74kg. Second place went to Zane Formo with a bass of 1.71kg. First Junior was Fritz Stegen with a bass of 1.45kg.
Due to popular demand, the next league will be held at Heyshope Dam on November 12.
