The Newcastle Winter Festival, in collaboration with the Newcastle Sakekamer, hosted its annual golf day to raise funds for the Deo Church interns’ upcoming Thailand outreach trip.

The event brought together golfers, sponsors, businesses and community members for a day of fellowship, friendly competition and, most importantly, a shared purpose beyond the golf course.

Funds support mission beyond Newcastle

This fundraising initiative supports the Deo interns as they prepare for their outreach trip to Thailand, where they will have the opportunity to serve others, share the love of Christ and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they encounter.

Both the Newcastle Winter Festival and Newcastle Sakekamer believe in initiatives that uplift people, strengthen community relationships and create opportunities to make a positive impact.

The golf day was a wonderful example of how local organisations and businesses can join hands to support a cause that extends beyond Newcastle and reaches into the lives of others.

The organisers would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all sponsors, participants, donors and supporters who contributed to the success of the day.

Their generosity and involvement are a reminder that when a community comes together with a common purpose, it can make a real difference.

More than just a day of golf, the event represented a spirit of unity, generosity and faith in action – values that remain at the heart of both the Newcastle Winter Festival and Newcastle Sakekamer.
