Bowls is not only for ‘oldies’

High School children from around Northern KZN and Harrismith were fortunate this morning to receive top class coaching from Bowls SA coach, Jill Atkinson, at the Dundee Bowling Club on Saturday morning.

From here, three under 19 and one under 15 bowls sides will be selected to represent bowls in the Northern KZN district.

Local bowls members including Greg Conolly, Hannelie Arndt, Dougie Slabbert, Carel Arndt and others were also on standby to lend a hand when it came to the finer nuances of the game.

Dundee was represented by a group of enthusiastic learners from DHS.
