uThukela hosts SMME awards
uThukela Deputy Mayor Nombali Sibiya was there to hand over the awards to those who completed the course
uThukela District Municipality hosted the Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprises (SMME) awards ceremony today (November 16) at their offices.
The ceremony recognised up-and-coming entrepreneurs in and around the Alfred Duma Local Municipality area who were sent by uThukela for training in business management. The training course saw 50 people taking part, with only 43 managing to complete the course that has six modules.
The aim of the training was to further educate entrepreneurs about the importance of business management.
uThukela organised and financed the course, which lasted for a month.
The Bright Day Training company, who specialise in training and learning material design and development, trained the entrepreneurs.
