Municipality finally decides to fix robots after 3 weeks
Motorists have described the situation as an accident waiting to happen
The robots at the corner of Crowshaw Road and Alfred Street that have not been operational for 3 weeks are now being fixed.
The traffic lights at the Guinea Fowl service station, going down in the Alfred Street direction, have caused major havoc and confusion, as only the red (stop) and orange (caution) lights work.
Motorists have described the situation as an accident waiting to happen.
Motorists have had to guess as to when they can safely proceed through the intersection, leaving pedestrians and drivers at high risk.
After 3 weeks of the robots being this way, municipal workers were seen today (November 17) fixing them.
Peak-hour traffic has been the worst, leaving motorists furious and doubting the municipality’s competence.
