EXCITEMENT was the order of the day on Monday as the ‘heart of the hospital‘ arrived at the site of the new and eagerly anticipated private hospital.

Mazcon Construction and Vinko Airconditiong staff members gathered as the massive crane lifted the essential piece of equipment, imperative to the functioning of any hospital, and lowered it into the building below.

According to staff at Vinko, the main air conditioning unit for the theatre, pre-op and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) was delivered on Monday and will be installed in the near future.

Vinko’s Julien Vyncke describes the arrival of the “heart of the hospital,” as it is often referred to, as a “breath of fresh air” to the project.

According to Mazcon Safety Officer, Abu Bwato, there have been no major safety incidents at the site and progress is adequate at the moment, despite some minor delays.
