Police promise criminals a miserable festive season

Drug dealers who openly conduct their illegal activities in central Dundee had a nasty surprise when a police swoop resulted in the arrest of three men.
Twelve mandrax tablets and a quantity of dagga was also seized when a police patrol from the Visible Policing Unit spotted three men on Bulwer Street on Thursday afternoon.
One of the men dropped a packet and police stopped and picked it up.
It turned out to contain dagga upon which they searched the men and the mandrax tablets were confiscated.
The three men have been charged. Dundee police Station Commissioner, Col Richard Nyide told the Courier that while he wished all residents a Merry Christmas, the ‘police are not going to stand-by and let criminals run the town’.
