All systems go again at Mondlo municipal offices

Receipt machines that have been out of order for weeks at the Mondlo municipal offices have finally been repaired.

THE ISSUE of receipt machines at the municipal offices in the A section of Mondlo being out of order, has been addressed.

This comes after they were reported to have been off for weeks without any proper explanation.

According to members of the Mondlo Residents’ Association, municipal workers could not give clear information as to why the machines had been off for weeks, and simply said they were out of order before writing the information of those who went to pay rates, in a book.

“What worries us most, is the fact that no proof of payment is issued to us when we pay. What if, in future, we need to produce proof and it does not come up on the system since the people working at the offices claim that the systems are down and they can only write down our information in a book?” said Mr Mdlalose, a member of the Residents’ Association.

The municipality seems to have taken the matter seriously as the issue has been addressed and things are back in working order.
