Christmas Tree cupcakes
This is really simple to do. You can use a chocolate cupcake or a chocolate brownie. Slice a little off the top of the cupcake to provide a nice flat surface for the strawberry. Place a strawberry on top of the cupcake, and ice it with green icing. You can then decorate your cupcake tree with sweets.
Snowman pops – All you need is Oreo cookies, kebab sticks, white chocolate and some cake decoration toppings
Slide the kebab skewer into the icing layer of the Oreo cookie. Dip the cookie into some melted white chocolate and leave to set on a baking sheet. While it is cooling down. decorate the face of the snowman with brown chocolate chips or different coloured cake decoration toppings.
Who can resist a classic hot chocolate?
All you need is hot chocolate powder, marshmallows, chocolate chips, a jiffy bag, googly eyes, a red pom-pom ball and brown pipe cleaners (from your craft/hobby shop).
Pour some hot chocolate in the the jiffy bag. You can get creative and layer white and brown hot chocolate if you like. Then, add the chocolate chips in a layer, and top it off with mini marshmallows for an ‘out-of-this-world’ hot chocolate!
Tie the bag off in a knot, and twist the brown pipe cleaners around the knot to make the reindeer antlers. Then you glue the two googly eyes and the pom-pom nose to the bag to finish off your hot chocolate Christmas reindeer.
What Christmas is complete without some yummy cookies for Santa?
All you need is your favorite ginger cookies, white chocolate and some icing. Dip your ginger cookies into some melted white chocolate to cover half the cookie, and allow to cool. Once it has cooled, you can decorate the cookie with your favorite Christmas pattern.
Sorry Olaf! – Sunny South Africa is not quite cut out for snowmen…
Ingredients: Your favourite flat cookies, royal icing or white chocolate, mini marshmallows and some cake decoration toppings and chocolate for the snowman’s arms and face.
You can either pour white chocolate or royal icing onto the cookie for the melted body of the snowman. Before the icing / chocolate sets, place a mini marshmallow on the cookie and then leave to set.
Once the icing / chocolate has set, you can melt a little bit of chocolate and use a small piping bag to draw the face and arms for the snowman, and coloured icing or cake decoration topping to add in the buttons and decorations on the snowman. Voila!
