Uelzen gave warm welcome to newcomers

Uelzen trusts that all new pupils and staff members will enjoy happy years at Uelzen Primary School.

Zuckertute – traditional German-style gifts – were presented to the new Uelzen Grade Ones who were all bright and shiny in their uniforms when they reported for their first day of Big School. The gifts, that were presented to the Grade Ones, contained sweeties and other goodies to make the new ones feel at home. Pastor Stefan gave a fun and thoughtful message to the entire school and reminded them that school is a mixture of hard work, fun and dedication.

The assembly was attended by all pupils to welcome the new Grade 1 class as well as new staff members. The event was also attended by all Grade 1 parents. Uelzen also welcomed Mrs M Hendriks to our staff. She will be teaching English and Natural Science. The new sports master, Deam Lambert, was also made to feel at home. Uelzen trusts that all new pupils and staff members will enjoy happy years at Uelzen Primary School.
