Amangwe police are investigating a case of a 40-year-old being raped in the Mqendandaba area of Loskop.

The suspect invaded a home where he allegedly threatened the woman and raped her.

After the suspect quickly fled from the scene, the woman summoned for help and the Amangwe police were on the trail of the suspected rapist.

Officers acted swiftly and a 29-year-old man was arrested on the same day. He appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on Monday where he faces charges of rape.
