DA holds community meetings
Many residents spoke out about their problems to DA Ward 20 councillor Sizwe Sithebe, who will look into the matters
The Democratic Alliance (DA) held meetings with community members on Sunday afternoon (January 22) in Dianthus Road and Daffodil Crescent, Acaciavale.
The purpose of the meetings was for the DA to discuss and give feedback about the by-elections in November, the hailstorm damage of 2012 and also their membership drive. A large number of community members from the area turned up to stay up-to-date with valuable information which was given out by the DA.
Many residents have problems they are currently facing and spoke out about them to DA Ward 20 councillor Sizwe Sithebe, who will look into the matters and provide much-needed answers.
Complaints from community members came in the form of poor service delivery they are receiving in their areas, saying that meter readings are not properly taken and their electrical bills are very high.
The DA say they have noticed a large number of houses in the area that have still not been fixed after the storm damage back in 2012, and they will go forward to find out when the houses will be repaired.
The DA will be taking the matters discussed with the community to the municipality, and they will try their very best to provide answers to the community.
