Paramedics treated the man for slight injuries
A pedestrian was hit by a car earlier today (January 28) near the taxi rank in Queen Street.
A vehicle travelling towards town knocked down the pedestrian.
Public Safety and InnovaMed Ambulance Services responded to the scene.
Paramedics treated the man for slight injuries before taking him to hospital.
Traffic was obstructed, which caused slight delays while paramedics stabilised the injured man and Public Safety officials took down the details of the accident.
Many onlookers from the taxi rank area gathered around to see what was going on and find out if the pedestrian was going to be okay.
