Update: K9 Rescue Team continues to search for 10-year-old boy

The search for the 10-year-old boy continues, as the K9 Rescue Team and other emergency personnel will be going out this morning (February 26) to comb the waters for a body.

It is believed that three boys were playing on the riverbank when one of them fell into the Klip River on Saturday morning (February 25) in Steadville.

The other scared boys tried to save him, but due to the heavy flow of water, the boy sunk and was washed away.

The boys went and called for help.

Public Safety, the K9 Rescue Team, Sharaj Ambulance Services and ER24 were on scene.

Concerned residents also gathered to see if they could help in any way.
