Animal abuse: Neglected dog with broken leg put down at Ladysmith AACL

One of the dog's legs was broken, it was starving and appeared to have been left for dead

A crossbreed dog had to be put down on Saturday morning (February 25) due to the terrible condition it was in.

Annamaie Koen from the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) found the dog in the bush in Kandahar Avenue.

One of the dog’s legs was broken, it was starving and appeared to have been left for dead.

A heartbroken Annamarie initially took the dog to the kennels, where she gave him food and water. However, the dog couldn’t keep the sustenance down, and vomited up everything it had ingested.

The dog was then taken to the vet, where it was put down.

“How can people be so heartless as to leave a dog in this condition?” lamented Annamarie.
