ASH (Development Safety And Awareness) of Johannesburg presented a workshop on ‘Feelings and Emotions’ to the learners of Edukidz Pre-Primary School.
The interactive workshop included the puppet, Frankie Feeling, to educate the little ones through dance, song, role-play and discussion with regards to treating others with respect, kindness and dignity.

In today’s society, children tend to become desensitised by the negative influence of violence seen on television, as well as the insecurity in many households.
Today’s lifestyle is such that quality time made for children is inadequate, the television and streets replace the parents, and children are often left to grow up without proper morals through a lack of guidance.
Edukidz realises and understands these demands, and therefore attempts by means of opportunities like those presented by DASH to bridge these issues.
Communication is vital in making feelings known. However, often physical means are made use of to get the message across. At Edukidz, “kind words” are always encouraged and rewarded.
