Mondlo still to get shopping centre

The AbaQulusi Municipality has remained mum for quite some time about this centre since the postponement of the sod-turning event which was set to be held in August last year.

MONDLO residents will be pleased to know that the Mondlo Shopping Centre project has not been scrapped.

The AbaQulusi Municipality has remained mum for quite some time about this centre since the postponement of the sod-turning event which was set to be held in August last year.

According to AbaQulusi Municipality’s Acting Municipal Manager, Dalisu Zulu, the municipality is set to start all processes regarding development on the shopping centre from scratch.

This follows issues that arose after the piece of land on which this establishment was to be built was sold on private auction instead of public.

Mr Zulu said that the issues have been settled and the developer who was chosen then, has since withdrawn the case against AbaQulusi Municipality from high court.

The land will be re-auctioned and developments will continue from there.
