Update: Frustrated Ladysmith residents host emergency meeting to resolve water cuts

Social media is abuzz with complaints about water interruptions and an appeal is made to community members to attend the meeting tonight

Residents affected by the water cuts are holding an emergency meeting this evening (March 14) at the Acaciavale Primary School ground, starting at 7pm.

This comes after thousands of homes had dry taps due to a power cut at the Ezakheni Water Plant.

The aim of the meeting is to discuss water and sanitation woes that certain areas in Ladysmith have been experiencing.

The meeting, convened by community leaders, is aimed at resolving the ongoing water issues and planning a way forward to avoid a water crisis.
