Sarel Lions roar in the Shark Tank!
They put up a united front against their opponents...
On Saturday, March 18, Sarel’s first team took on a team from Reunion at Kings Park in a pre-match game for the Sharks. They had an overwhelming victory and the final score was 72-12. Sarel Cilliers is very proud of the team and the way they put up a united front against their opponents. Thank you to Mr Van Der Westhuizen for his hard work and all the learners, staff and parents who were there to support the team.
Netball vs Vryheid Landbou High School
On Wednesday, March 15, Sarel played the first league game against Vryheid Landbou High School. All the teams made the school proud by winning all of the matches. Bongeka and Nqobile jumped high to intercept nearly all the balls and Londeka defended the other team’s goal post. Mazette out did herself by not missing one goal attempt, which is a phenomenal feat.
The scores were as follows: u/14: 22-0, u/15A: 10-5, 15B: 16-2, u/16:18-7, second team: 13-12 and the first team: 49-7.

All of Sarel’s hockey and rugby teams also won their matches against Vryheid Landbou. The scores were as follows: u/14 hockey won, 7-0. First hockey team won, 2-0.
First rugby won, 53-8, u/14 Rugby won 43 – 5 and u/16 rugby won, 52 – 0.
