Ladysmith to be without water as uThukela carry out emergency maintenance

Thousands of homes will be without water supply for hours

uThukela District Municipality informs the public that there will be a shutdown at the Abattoir Hill Pump Station tomorrow (Wednesday, March 29).

Households and schools will be without water supply for a period of eight hours from 8am to 4pm due to maintenance.

The following areas will be affected: Acaciavale, Rose Park, Aloe Park, Leonardsville and parts of Steadville.

“We urge the community to use water sparingly and keep enough in containers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused,” said uThukela spokesperson Jabulani Mkhonza.
