Well-known businessman passes on

ANTON Joseph Otto Werndle, better known as, Toni Werndle (73), passed away at his home on Good Friday.

He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Helga, his sons Lorenz and Rolf, and his sisters, Valda, Mitzi and Linda, and their families, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Toni was a well-known and well-respected member of the community, having lived in Vryheid all his life.

The family business, Toni’s Jewellers, formerly Werndle & Son, on Church Street, is a town landmark.

The memorial service will be held at the Methodist Church on Friday at 11am.
