PREVIEW: Prevent becoming a victim of ATM fraud

“First of all, FNB has zero tolerance towards fraud and we regularly review security arrangements across our outlets.”

Following a series of reports of bank card cloning and ATM fraud, the Newcastle Advertiser sat with Spokesperson and CEO of FNB Points of Presence, Lee-Anne van Zyl as she shed some light on the criminal act targeting ATM users.

“First of all, FNB has zero tolerance towards fraud and we regularly review security arrangements across our outlets.”

According to her, the bank viewed all incidents of criminality in an extremely serious light, and especially where incidents were brought to their attention.

Once reported, a rigorous investigation was conducted with the South African Police Service (SAPS) in order to bring the perpetrators to book.
