Animal abuse: Dog with no nails put down in Ladysmith (video included)

The dog was put down on Tuesday due to the terrible condition it was in

A starving dog covered in mange was found in Chisty Place on Monday afternoon (August 14) by Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) workers. The league received a call about the dog and immediately responded.

They were shocked when they saw that the dog had no nails on any of its paws. There was just flesh on all four paws. It looked as if someone had deliberately removed the nails from the helpless animal.

The dog could barely walk and was clearly in excruciating pain.

The scared animal was taken to the kennels, where they fed him and gave him water.

The dog was put down on Tuesday due to the terrible condition it was in.

“I really cannot believe that people can be this cruel and heartless,” said Annamarie Koen of the AACL.
