Snow has fallen in areas surrounding Ladysmith

There has been snow in surrounding areas, as predicted by the South African Weather Service, bringing with it an icy-cold breeze blowing through Ladysmith.

Snow has fallen over most of the mountain ranges in KZN, with the Drakensberg covered in a thick white blanket.

Social media is a hive of activity, with everyone wanting to catch a glimpse of the “white winter wonderland”.

Snow-gazers, however, need to be careful that they don’t get trapped in snowbound areas. In addition, people are warned not to go into private properties or damage farm fences.

There are many areas open to the public where the snow can be viewed.
