Tourists learn about the history of Ladysmith
They had an enjoyable morning tour of the Siege Museum and the battlefields, including Wagon Hill and the Burgher Memorial
No less than 54 tourists from different countries are currently visiting Ladysmith.
The tourists – from Switzerland, Germany and other countries – arrived on the Shongololo Express on Monday morning.
They will be here for 13 days and are eager to learn about our town’s history.
For many of them, this is their first time in Ladysmith and they are excited about broadening their knowledge and getting to know the townsfolk.
The tourists exclaimed at how informative and well-kept the museum is. They had an enjoyable morning tour of the Siege Museum and the battlefields, including Wagon Hill and the Burgher Memorial.
They also want to do some shopping around town!
After their visit to Ladysmith, they will head off to Bloemfontein.
