Watch: Community loot stationery from truck after crash in Ezakheni
Reports indicate that hundreds of people were at the scene, grabbing what they could
Community members from Ezakheni looted a truck this morning (September 29) after it crashed.
The truck was travelling away from Ezakheni, heading towards Ladysmith, when the crash took place.
It is alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck overturned, blocking the entire roadway.
The truck was carrying stationery in the form of school books, which was looted by community members.
Reports indicate that hundreds of people were grabbing what they could from the overturned truck.
Three men were in the vehicle at the time of the crash and were treated on scene by paramedics for slight injuries sustained.

They were taken to hospital for further medical attention.
Public Safety and police also responded.
The roadway was closed and traffic was diverted away from the scene.
