Blood trail in CBD shocks shoppers and shop owners

It is not clear if there was a stabbing incident or if a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle

A trail of blood from the narrow alley, connecting King Edward and Gladstone Streets, to the traffic lights at the Victoria/Gladstone Street intersection left early morning shoppers shocked.

It is not clear at this stage if the person had been knocked over by a vehicle on Friday evening or was the victim of a stabbing.

A dried up pool of blood is visible near the traffic lights and the trail goes across the road, towards Elite Cash Loans, to the nameless alley where another patch of blood is clearly visible.

If the now infamous and still non-appearing security cameras had been put up in the central business district, these questions would have been answered.

The police have been contacted for a statement and updates will be provided when these are available.
