GALLERY: Celebrating 500 years of Protestantism
In honour of Martin Luther’s dedication in bringing about a spiritual change, the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation hosted an event at Grace Park, on October 31. There, residents could learn more about Martin Luther and his doctrine.

It is said the only constant in life is that of change.
This was proven on October 31, 1517, when Martin Luther nailed a piece of paper containing 95 revolutionary theses to the door of All Saints Church in Wittenburg, an action that would change the Christian community around the world.
In his thesis, Luther condemned the excesses and corruption of the Roman Catholic Church, thus starting the Protestant Reformation.

Martin Luther, The idea that changed the world, narrated by Hugh Bonneville, a historical documentary was played for guests.
The movie highlighted the discovery of the Gospel, forgiveness and a new life in Christ.
At the function, guests were able to purchase home-made German bratwurst and cooldrinks.
The money raised from the sale of these items went to the upkeep of St Martin’s Village.
