Man gunned down in Sibongile

Are we in the grips of a drug war?

Police believe that the gunning down of a man in Sibongile late on Saturday is linked to an ongoing ‘drug war’.
A man, identified by police only as Brasso, died when he was shot ‘about ten times’ outside his house.
Witnesses said ‘several gunmen’ had walked up to his house and fired shots.

Two weeks ago a Congolese man was shot dead and his girlfriend kidnapped and later dumped on the Helpmekaar road after the man had been called late at night to meet another person in a field on Excelsior Lane.
This was also believed to have been drug related. No arrests have been made in either case. Updates to follow.
