An eyewitness gave an account of the incident to the family. It was reported that lighting struck, and La’Mont immediately fell off his bike.

The cause of his death remained uncertain.

“I spoke to him earlier that day and asked if he wanted anything to eat. He requested an energy drink and asked me to buy some pumpkin, as it’s our son’s favourite food. When I tried calling him a little after 4pm, he didn’t answer,” said an emotional Theresa.

Our condolences are with the bereaved families at this difficult time.
