N11 Amajuba Pass horror collision:

A horrific collision between a taxi and a truck on the N11 Amajuba Pass claimed the lives of seven people. A 36-week pregnant woman was admitted to hospital, where staff worked tirelessly to save both the woman’s and her unborn child’s lives.

Baboons terrorise Ingogo farmers:

Farmers in Ingogo reported that they were being terrorised by baboons. One farmer in particular reported a troop of baboons caught riding on the backs of his cattle, causing frenzied cattle to jump off a cliff. Another farmer reported the baboons tearing a dog’s throat open.

Final suspect caught in Newcastle’s most vicious murder case:

Following the gruesome murders of an entire family in Arbor Park, police set up an elite task team whose sole purpose was to solve this case. Police were able to breathe a sigh of relief when they finally caught the last suspect linked to the case.

20 animals die after rabies outbreak:

Around 20 dogs in Madadeni were euthanised after a resident’s dog was positively tested for rabies. According to the man, his previously peaceful pet had started displaying odd and aggressive behaviour. A vet confirmed that the dog had rabies and needed to be euthanised. This unfortunately led to the deaths of several more unvaccinated dogs that had been in contact with the contaminated pet.
