Devotees celebrate 92 years since the advent of Sai Baba

The Estcourt Sai Centre devotees gathered at the Sai Mandir at 53 First Avenue to observe the auspicious day with a devotional and joyous service

The 92nd birth date celebration of Swami Sathya Sai Baba was observed by Sai devotees all over the world on November 23.

Devotees sang spiritual songs in front of this beautifully decorated shrine.

Devotees sang spiritual songs and the highlight was singing happy birthday to their Lord. The children from the Balvikas Class also entertained the attendees with a short play, then a dance.

The play highlighted the principles of truth, correct conduct, peace, love and non-violence. This was followed by a captivating keynote address by 11-year-old Urvashini Pillay.

She spoke on the teachings of Sathya Sai Baba and how spiritual education lends beauty to man, and added that young people should refer to spiritual teachings to guide them to right conduct.

The aim of the service was for worshippers to pay tribute to Sai Baba and his mission to bring spiritual regeneration to humanity by encouraging a love of God and service to all.

A scrumptious vegetarian supper was served after the closing of the celebratory service.
