Renowned pianist Benjamin Fourie is coming to town on December 9 and 10. Pianist Benjamin Fourie, will be presenting a programme of beautiful piano music, to celebrate the new acquisition of a Kawai Grand Piano.
He is an accomplished performer who has the ability to educate while performing, enabling the listener to get the most enjoyment from the music. Come enjoy a close experience in an intimate setting with the artist, great music and conversation together with friends.
The first recital will focus on well-loved works from the classical repertoire. And the second on contemporary music, including Olivier Messiaen’s eight Preludes, Etienne van Rensburg’s vast and also aspects of spiritual love and more will be explored.

Benjamin Fourie has performed extensively in South Africa and Europe, including recitals given at prestigious events and venues such as the World Piano Conference, Novi Sad, Serbia (2010), Schloss Elmau in Germany and the 33rd International Music Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria.
He lives in Bethulie, Gariep Dam in the Free State, from where he focuses on free-lance work as a performing artist.
Guests attending the first recital must arrive at 6.30pm for 7pm (duration 75 minutes) on Saturday and 3pm for 3.30pm duration 90 minutes) on Sunday.

Discretionary donations will be welcomed. Recommended amounts: adults R100+ and children (under 18) or pensioners (over 65) R50.
Take along with you a plate of eats to share, as well as other beverages (if preferred) besides tea, coffee or cold drinks, which will be available on the house.
Benjamin has released five CD recordings an art song CD (including settings of some of his poetry), Desert Bloom, and a CD with popular classical piano music, will be available for purchase at the recitals for R150 and R100 respectively.
