Nature had last laugh as 2017 drew to a close

The unpredictable weather continues as claims a giant tree

A sudden gust of wind on December 31 felled a large tree at a Reynolds Street home.  Sydney Brown said the tree came crashing down as storm clouds gathered over Dundee.
The tree fell on a precast wall and Sydney says his son, Matthew, came to assist him armed with a chain saw.
A section of the tree was cut so Sydney could get through the back gate.
He was philosophical about the incident telling the Courier that the ‘strong wind that lead to the tree crashing down simply as ‘nature’.
More storms are expected in the area this afternoon.
