Former resident rewards deserving learners
"We want to say thank you to all the learners before you go off to study, because you have lifted the name of this district high"
Fundani Bursary Fund has awarded six deserving learners with bursaries so that they can further their studies at various institutions.
This great initiative was undertaken by Mr Sibusiso Ngwenya, a former Estcourt resident and businessman, who is one of the Fundani Bursary Fund founders.

This event took place at the Department of Education’s examination offices in Ladysmith on Thursday, where District Director Mrs Mokoena expressed words of gratitude to Mr Ngwenya for investing in education in the Uthukela District.

She also acknowledged the effort put into their schoolwork by the beneficiaries, which put the district’s name on the map.

“We would also like to thank the stakeholders who came on board to award the learners. Now it’s up to the learners to do their part and be successful in obtaining their qualifications and degrees in their various courses,” said Mrs Mokoena.
