Rush to obtain vouchers from Good Samaritans
But was the generous gesture abused by those attempting to 'cash in'?

There was rush today near the Shoprite parking lot as hundreds of hopeful beneficiaries arrived hoping to receive a voucher to carry out repairs to their damaged homes following last Thursday’s storm.
On Monday, the De Beer family, along with Bishop Gumede from the Isibusiso Dundee Bible School, aided victims of the storm with donations in the form of food vouchers and for repairs to damaged buildings.

The Good Samaritans were on hand to dish out the food vouchers to recipients on Monday at the Shoprite parking lot. On Tuesday, they handed out vouchers for building repairs to victims. Bishop Gumede explained that they had spoken to Boxer and Ace Hardware and beneficiaries could redeem their vouchers at those two stores.
