Donating blood at Drakensberg Secondary School

Learners and their educators took the opportunity to support the worthy cause and came out in their numbers

Drakensberg Secondary School (DSS) was abuzz with learners ready to donate blood at the scholars’ blood donor clinic.

The clinic was hosted by the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) at the school.

Tshepo Nyembe had his blood pressure tested before making his third blood donation.

Learners and their educators took the opportunity to support the worthy cause and came out in their numbers. 60 people attended. 48 pints of blood were collected and 22 new blood donors were welcomed.

Shuaib Karrim, Joel Moonsamy, Jamain Ramdhani and Suveer Pram supported the DSS blood donor clinic last Thursday.

The SANBS team and Blood Clinic Co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain would like to thank all the schools for the time and contribution they made over the past three days.
