Naptosa members attend Site Training Workshop

The year kicked off with training of all site reps as they play a crucial role in the functioning of the school

Since the beginning of the year, Naptosa Estcourt Branch has been organising several activities for their members.

The year kicked off with training of all site reps as they play a crucial role in the functioning of the school. Rishal Juguth from Naptosa head office in Durban presented a dynamic and interactive workshop at Estcourt Primary School on February 7. In addition to motivating site reps to recruit new members, Mr Juguth also emphasised the benefits of social media as a means of communication.

The benefits of being a Naptosa member could not be over emphasised especially with regard to professional development, information and loads of commercial benefits, such as discounts when buying a new car.

The salary structure was discussed as well as the current negotiations around the salary increase for educators. Members were keen to ask questions about leave, promotion processes and CPTD.

Whilst members were treated to light refreshments, Sam from Old Mutual addressed the house. She called upon educators to liaise with Old Mutual for medals to reward learners for their outstanding efforts.

The Naptosa Estcourt Branch would like to thank Mr Juguth for his informative and excellent presentation, Old Mutual for their support and to Mrs Lambert of Estcourt Primary for the use of the hall.
