Making a feast fit for a Royal Family

Their educator Mr K Bihaspat helped them around the kitchen and gave them advice when needed.

The Grade 10 Consumer Studies class from Ladysmith Secondary School (LASEC) prepared mouth watering meals on Monday afternoon. This was part of an exam assessment where the learners had to prepare a 3-course meal.

They either performed this in groups or individually. The aim of this practical test was to assess the learners’ knowledge of their cutlery and crockery that they had to use, the way they cooked, and how they managed themselves in the kitchen.

The learners enjoyed themselves as they designed and produced their 3 – course meal.

Their educator Mr K Bihaspat helped them around the kitchen and gave them advice when needed.

The learners told the Ladysmith Gazette that they are awaiting eagerly for another practical as they have a great educator who was always willing to help and make Consumer Studies easy to understand and fun.
