Uelzen’s Wellman trio a cricketing force

Their first match was against a team from Manor Gardens, which was a force to be reckoned with. Marcel did really well and scored 52 runs not out for entering as second batsman and batting the full 20 overs.

Last weekend, Uelzen Primary brothers, Marcel, Kai and Antoni Wellmann, played cricket for the Uthukela Sport Academy and participated in an annual festival hosted by Glenwood Primary.
Their first match was against a team from Manor Gardens, which was a force to be reckoned with. Marcel did really well and scored 52 runs not out for entering as second batsman and batting the full 20 overs.
The second game was against Pelham Primary and here Kai must be congratulated for stepping in as a bowler and taking some wickets.
The third game was played against
Athlone Park Primary and there were some injuries and after a gruelling chase, the boys managed to make the runs in the 18th over.
On the last day they faced Manor Gardens again and all three Wellmann boys played in this game and managed to pull through and win the match! Well done, boys.
Uelzen is proud of you!
