Former Vryheider finishes Barcelona Marathon in impressive time
Michael is an avid runner and finished the Barcelona Marathon in an impressive time of 3:25:44.
THE start of the Marató De Barcelona 2018 was an emotional one, according to Michael Tasseron, who took part in the popular marathon on March 11, as the race got underway to the tune of the 1987 single, Barcelona, by Queen vocalist, Freddie Mercury and operatic soprano, Montserrat Caballé.

Son of Erik and Georgie Tasseron, Michael is an avid runner and finished the Barcelona Marathon in an impressive time of 3:25:44. One of the most popular marathons in Europe, the Barcelona Marathon begins and finishes below the green hills of Montjuic Park in front of the Magic Fountain and the race is a flat one, with very few hills, making it ideal for achieving a good time.
The route allows runners to take in the beautiful sights and scenery of the Catalan capital and enjoys wonderful crowd support all along the route, according to Tasseron.
