Kai Broom called up for Midlands Trials

He also showed his ability with the bat, making 44 runs off 17 balls

Treverton Prep grade seven learner, Kai Broom played for the Northern Districts cricket team over the weekend of March 2.

The team beat Northern Suburbs (PMB) by six overs with Kai being the top bowler with two for 14 in three overs.

He also showed his ability with the bat, making 44 runs off 17 balls before being retired. Against PMB Central Kai made 29 runs off 18 balls, before being caught.

Unfortunately he could not bowl due to severe illness that struck. Through this success, he has been selected for the final round of Midlands trials, which will take place in September.
