WLDF Competition brings big excitement

There was big excitement this weekend when 4 of Stepping Out’s Dancers attended WLDF (World Lyrical Dance Federation Competition) in Durban.

Our students really worked very hard for this competition the past couple of months. WLDF is one of South Africa’s biggest Competitions and there were no stopping our Students.

They showed that Stepping Out is proud to announce the following results: Zane Potgieter, only 7 years old, received a 1st place in the 8 and under age category with her Lyrical solo.

This was Zane’s first big Competition and Stepping Out would like to say a big Congratulations to her! A job well done Zane!

Another first timer was Mimi Janse Van Rensburg, 9 years old. Mimi received a 5th place in her age category for her Contemporary solo. This was a big achievement for her.

We are extremely proud of you Mimi!

Megan de Beer received a 1st and 2nd place for her Contemporary and Lyrical solo. Samantha Lewarne received a 2nd and 4th place for her Contemporary and Jazz solos. A huge congratulations to all our Students, you believed in yourself and danced your hearts out!

Next up for our Students is Mej Pionier’s Performance. Ahhhhh. . .  The Life of a dancer!
