GALLERY: Ladies indulge in high tea and fashion show at Forderville Hall

In between all the lucky draws and giveaways, the attendees capped off the afternoon with decadent treats and socialising with friends

Elegantly dressed ladies took to the red carpet to enter the Forderville Hall on Saturday. On the programme of the charity event were poem recitals, guest speakers and the much anticipated Milady’s fashion show.

The vibrant Milady’s team dressed models in this season’s must-have items and the models strutted down the runway. Overall the afternoon aimed to relax, inspire and motivate women.

Health and beauty saleswoman, Lizette Meyer said she was honoured to be part of the event.

Health and beauty guest speaker, Lizette Meyer hands Zohra Mahmoud her lucky draw prize.

“Your health is your wealth and your wealth is your health,” she said in her opening talk.

Ahead of World Heath Day, she spoke on signs of health risks such as fatigue and shortness of breath.
With that said, certified Life Coach and Counsellor, Nadia Buckus urged the women to voice their dreams and stand together.

Little Laiqa Hassan recited a poem.

“Kindness spreads like a virus,” Ms Buckus delightfully reminded the guests.

Next at the podium was Ramika Peerbhay who talked attendees through practising healing meditation. The women present listened attentively as they tried a few essential healing exercises.

Jackie Patricks, Manager at the Milady’s store encouraged women to keep going despite the challenges they face reminding them ‘it’s all about you.’

Milady’s Manager, Jackie Patricks together with Mrs Peerbhay presented Reyah Malek with a gift for best dressed with her is her daughter.

She also got to use her fashion forward knowledge and choose the best-dressed lady who won a pampering prize. Before which she equipped the attendees with must-have winter trend advice. The proceeds raised from the high tea will go towards St John’s Poor Purse and Chievely Madressa School but it is not limited to the two organisations.

The organising committee expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who sacrificed toward the event’s success.
