Accolades for fire brigade following Oldacre Street house fire
One brave fire fighter rushed back to recover a gas cylnder

The Endumeni Fire Brigade reacted swiftly when an Oldacre Street house caught on fire yesterday afternoon.
Firemen quickly doused the flames that swept through the ceiling of the garage with one fireman bravely rushing in to remove a gas cylinder seconds before the burning rafters collapsed, narrowly missing him.
The fire spread to the ceiling of the rest of the house and firemen had to continuously drench the ceiling. A wind fanned the flames. Friends and neighbours of Pastor Duma, who stays in the house, rushed to save personal possessions while friends comforted an emotional Mrs Duma, a clinic nurse.
The fire is thought to have started in a backroom attached to the garage which is rented out. It is thought that the tenant may have left a stove or some other appliance on and then left.
A little girl who was at the house and who called for help was unharmed.
