Saving lives at the Sai blood donor clinic in Estcourt

The SANBS nursing team thanks all blood donors that supported the blood clinic and for lending a hand in this worthy cause

Locals heard the plea of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to donate their lifesaving blood – and they answered the call.

Although Estcourtonians slowly turned up at the Forderville Primary School Hall, they helped the SANBS collect a total of 19 units of blood on Sunday as the Sai Organisation teamed up with the SANBS to host a blood donor clinic.

Mayur Mothilal made his very first blood donation at the Sai blood donor clinic.

In all 29 people attended. The blood donor clinic will ensure that South Africa has enough blood stock.

Faye Peersaib made her 14th blood donation on Sunday.

Yeshiel Singh donated his 16th pint of blood.

Remember the beauty of blood donation is that anyone can do it. If you’re over 16 years old, weigh over 50kg and practice a safe lifestyle, you can be a blood donor. By giving blood you can save a minimum of three lives.
