Park-party goers have a taste for expensive booze

Traffic officers this time did react to complaints

The problems associated with Coronation Park – loud music, drinking in public, sex and littering and even wheel spinning – have long been documented.

The Freedom Day long weekend saw several parties moving in and out of the park. For residents it was not a peaceful weekend – however they were pleased when traffic officers finally reacted to the numerous complaints and on Friday moved in to disperse a party.

A similar party brewed up yesterday with wheel spinning to boot.

Said one resident: “The party people do not give a damn for any of the residents hear with their loud music and drinking but we can one thing for them – they do have a fine taste for pricey whiskey as can be seen by the bottles strewn about in the park.”
