Police have warned residents not to fall victim to scamsters

Dundee SAPS urges the community not to deposit money into the accounts of people they do not know without verifying whether they are legitimate or not.

Burglary on Victoria Street
On Saturday a Victoria Street shop was broken into and goods worth R33 300, including cash, groceries, cell phones, airtime, cigarettes and door locks.
The thief forced his way into the shop.
Craigside house burgled
A house in Craigside was broken into last Saturday and groceries, cash, and a cell phone was stolen.
Carjacking at Stanford farm
The victim alleged that he was called by a man, who said his name was Dlamini, on Friday and asked him to give him a lift.
When the victim arrived at the agreed location he was assaulted by three men who then fled in his red/maroon Toyota Conquest, registration number NGL 6425, valued at R40 000.
The police request anyone who sees the car to call the Dundee SAPS.
Trailer stolen in Union Street
A trailer, registration number NDE 19602, was stolen last week Friday from Union Street. It is valued at R20 000.

A man fell victim to fraud when he deposited R6 000 into an account as a deposit to purchase what he thought was a car.
When he went to pick up his car, the manager of the dealership told him that he never received the R6 000.
The person, into whose account the money was paid, denied receiving money. Another fraud incident happened in King Edward Street last week on Wednesday when an amount of R4 000 was fraudulently withdrawn. R3 000 was used to purchase items in Bethal.
Stocktheft
Two cattle, valued at R20 000, were stolen from a field at Shayamoya Farm on April 21. 800 litres of diesel and three tractor spotlights valued at R12 291 were stolen from Endumeni Farm last Friday
