An overwhelming attendance at the Naptosa Estcourt Branch AGM
Much emphasis was placed on providing supporting evidence as well as strategies to "work smart
Naptosa Estcourt Branch held its annual general meeting (AGM) at Estcourt Primary School on May 3. On arrival, members were welcomed with delicious refreshments.
The Deputy Chairperson of KZN Mrs Carol Lambert, extended a warm welcome to the members. A special welcome was extended to Ms Michelle Mopp, who travelled from head office in Durban to conduct a presentation.
Ms Marilyn Jordan presented the annual branch report, which highlighted a variety of activities such as the Teacher’s Day function, the annual Readathon as well as several professional development workshops.
Members were thanked for their assistance and support. Ms Michelle Mopp delivered her presentation on CPTD. Educators were not only enlightened on the concept but were encouraged to accumulate points at every opportunity.
Much emphasis was placed on providing supporting evidence as well as strategies to “work smart”. Members received certificates as well as 10 CPTD points.
Mrs Lambert also discussed a variety of motions to be taken to the conference this year. Members debated the issue of language development. Mrs KB Osman moved the vote of thanks.
Naptosa members were thanked for attending in their numbers. She also thanked Ms Mopp for her presentation as well as Estcourt Primary for the use of the hall.
Special thanks to Ruqaiya Larsahib and her team for assisting to set up the hall. The members of ML Sultan, Mrs Ramdeen and Ms Cotwal were thanked for their continued support and assistance.
