Neighbourhood Watch’s swift response results in arrests

"The response from members was excellent as was the co-operation from the Glencoe SAPS"

Swift work by the Glencoe Neighbourwood Watch and Community Police Forum members saw the arrest of two men this morning.

The men had got over the wall of a property and were attempting to steal loose roof sheeting when they were spotted. The resident alerted Neighbourhood Watch members and the response was swift.

Members were on the scene within minutes. Two men were seen running towards the location and they were apprehended. The police were called in and the men promptly arrested and taken away.

Douglas Lees of the Neighbourhood Watch said the response from members was excellent as was the co-operation from the Glencoe SAPS.
